Search for "SMM panel script" and you will find free downloads, GitHub repositories, cracked copies of famous panels and polished scripts on code marketplaces, all promising a ready-made SMM business. Some of them are genuinely useful. Some are a fast way to lose your provider balance.

This guide explains what an SMM panel script actually is, the five ways to get one, what each really costs in the first year, which licence you need if you charge customers, and how to check a script before you put money into it.

What an SMM panel script is

An SMM panel script is the software behind an SMM panel website. Almost all of them are PHP applications with a MySQL database, and they include the same core parts:

  • The customer side: sign-up, add funds, new order, mass order, orders list, tickets.
  • The admin side: services, providers, customers, payments, orders and settings.
  • The provider connection: it sends each order to an upstream provider through the standard SMM API (api/v2) and checks its status.
  • Background jobs: cron tasks that sync order statuses, process refills and cancels, and verify payments.
  • A user API, so your own resellers can order from you automatically.

The script is only the software. To run a panel you also need a server, a domain, an SSL certificate, cron jobs, backups, payment gateways and a provider account.

The five ways to get one

1. Free scripts and GitHub repositories

Searches like "smm panel script github" and "smm panel source code" turn up free repositories. A few are honest hobby projects. Most are incomplete or abandoned:

  • missing pieces such as drip-feed, refills, child panels or a working cron;
  • no security updates, so known holes stay open;
  • old PHP versions that modern hosting no longer supports.

They are fine for learning how a panel works. Running a real business on one is risky.

2. Nulled or cracked scripts

"Free download" copies of paid scripts are the most dangerous option. Cracked scripts are a common way to plant backdoors that steal customer data, provider API keys or payment credentials. You cannot get updates or support, and running pirated software can get your hosting cancelled. We cover this in detail in Perfect Panel Nulled: Why Cracked SMM Scripts Will Cost You.

3. Paid scripts from code marketplaces

Code marketplaces sell legitimate SMM panel scripts as one-time purchases. In October 2026, listings commonly range from about $29 to $169, and some sell features such as child panels as a separate add-on.

Read the licence carefully. On the largest marketplace, a Regular licence does not allow you to charge end users. An SMM panel charges its customers for every order, so you need the Extended licence, which costs several times more. Buying the cheaper licence and charging customers anyway breaks the licence terms.

4. Your own build

Building from scratch gives you full control, but a complete panel with providers, payments, cron, refills, drip-feed and an API is months of work, followed by permanent maintenance. It only makes sense if you are a developer who wants to own the software as a product.

5. A hosted or rental panel

With a rental, you do not buy or install a script. You rent a panel that is already running, on your own domain, and the platform handles hosting, SSL, backups, updates and security. You pay monthly instead of up front. This is how most new panels start today. See How Does SMM Panel Rental Work?.

What a script really costs in year one

The script price is the smallest part of the bill. Here is an illustrative first year for a paid script, using round numbers:

Cost Self-hosted paid script Rental panel
Software $169 one-time (Extended licence) Included
Server (VPS) $5–$20 a month Included
SSL, backups, monitoring Your setup and your time Included
Updates and security fixes Your time, or a developer Included
Child panel add-on Often extra Included on PanelLaunch
Domain ~$10–$15 a year ~$10–$15 a year

Add the hours you spend installing, configuring cron, fixing errors after PHP updates and restoring backups. For most owners that time is better spent finding customers. For a full breakdown, see SMM Panel Rental vs Buying a Script.

What to check before buying a script

If you still want to buy one, check these before you pay:

  1. Last update date. A script not updated this year is a warning sign.
  2. PHP version support. It should run on a currently supported PHP version.
  3. Standard API v2. Both for connecting providers and for giving your resellers a user API.
  4. Child panels. Included, or a paid add-on? If you want to sell child panels, this matters.
  5. Drip-feed, refills and cancels. All three are expected by buyers today.
  6. Payment gateways. Does it support the gateways your customers use, such as UPI, JazzCash, bKash or Paystack?
  7. Cron and automation. Order status sync and payment verification must run on their own.
  8. Security basics. Admin two-factor authentication, CSRF protection, rate limiting.
  9. Licence. Extended licence if you charge customers, and the seller's upgrade policy between major versions.
  10. Support. How long it lasts, and whether you can renew it.

Some scripts cannot be upgraded across major versions and need a fresh install, which means migrating your data yourself. Ask before buying.

"SMM panel script with child panel"

Many searches ask specifically for a script with child panels. Child panels let your customers run their own small panels that buy from yours, which adds a second income stream. With a script, check whether child panel support is built in or sold separately, and whether provisioning a child panel needs manual server work each time.

On a PanelLaunch panel, child panel selling is included on every plan, and new child panels are created automatically when a customer orders one. See How to Sell Child Panels From Your SMM Panel.

So which should you choose?

  • Learning how panels work: a free open-source script on a test server is fine.
  • Running a real business with a developer on hand: a paid, actively maintained script with the right licence.
  • Running a real business without managing servers: a rental panel.
  • Never: a nulled or cracked script.

PanelLaunch panels start at ₹449 a month ($5), with hosting, SSL, backups, updates, child panels and a user API included. You can try the storefront on the live demo and see the full list on the features page.
